Returns and Refund Policy

All GeniusGrower products are eligible for return within 14 days of receipt under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). Products must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.

1. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, you must notify us by email before the 14-day period expires.

Products must be returned in their original, unopened packaging and in unused condition. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

2. Warranty Coverage

All products sold through GeniusGrower come with a full manufacturer warranty:

2.1 LED Grow Lights

3–5 year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. If your LED light develops a fault within the warranty period, we will provide a free replacement or full refund.

2.2 Grow Tents

1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials (fabric, zippers, frame poles). Normal wear and tear is not covered.

2.3 Ventilation Equipment

1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in motors and electronic components. Filters are consumable items and are not covered under warranty.

3. How to Request a Return or Warranty Claim

To request a return or file a warranty claim, please email [email protected] within the applicable period, with:

  • Your order number
  • A clear description of the issue or reason for return
  • Photographs of the product and any defects (for warranty claims)

We aim to respond to all claims within 2 business days.

4. Resolution

Once we confirm the issue, we will offer one of the following at our discretion:

  • Free replacement: We ship a new product at no charge (for warranty claims).
  • Full refund: We refund the full purchase price via the original payment method.

For standard returns (change of mind), the original shipping cost is non-refundable and return shipping is at the customer's expense.

4.1 Value Reduction Deductions

If a returned product shows signs of use beyond what is necessary to inspect the product, the following value reduction deductions may apply:

  • 15% β€” Product opened, minimal or no visible use, original packaging intact
  • 30% β€” Product used or packaging damaged/incomplete
  • 50% β€” Product shows significant use, missing accessories, or damaged packaging

Products that cannot be resold due to hygiene, safety, or damage reasons may not be eligible for refund. Electronics with visible use marks or missing seals may be subject to higher deductions.

5. Returning Products

For standard returns, you must ship the product back to us at your own expense. Return shipping costs typically range from €15–50 depending on the product size and your location. We will provide the return address upon approval of your return request.

For warranty claims, we may provide a prepaid return shipping label or resolve the issue without requiring a return.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days.

  • PayPal: Refund to your PayPal account (typically 1–3 business days)
  • SEPA Bank Transfer: Refund to the original bank account (typically 3–5 business days)

7. Your Statutory Rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may have additional rights under the laws of your country of residence.
